In Kharkiv, IEDs have damaged more than 30 high-rise buildings; people may be trapped under the rubble

On Monday, October 5, Kharkiv came under Russian attack with guided aerial bombs. More than 30 high-rise buildings were damaged as a result of the attack. According to the mayor, people may be trapped under the rubble.

“Unfortunately, we currently have three confirmed fatalities. Among them are employees of our municipal utility company who were at home,” he said.

Terekhov noted that enemy guided bombs struck near high-rise residential buildings—more than 30 high-rises were damaged.

In addition, there was an attack on the residential area, resulting in damage to more than 20 private homes. A warehouse was also hit.

“A search-and-rescue operation is underway. There are people trapped under the rubble at a car service station,” the mayor said.

Later, Terekhov reported that the bodies of two more victims had been found under the rubble of a sewing workshop. Thus, the death toll from the enemy shelling has risen to five.

This was stated by Mayor Ihor Terekhov.

In Kharkiv, the number of people injured in the airstrike has risen to 39.

Russia attacked Kharkiv with KAB bombs; one person was killed, and warehouses caught fire.

As a reminder, the Russians previously struck Chuhuiv, injuring three people.

On the morning of October 4, during a drone attack, a Russian kamikaze drone exploded on the roadway of the Northern Bridge in Kyiv.

As a result of the October 4 attack on the capital’s Northern Bridge, a heating main was damaged. Because of this, there will be a temporary lack of hot water in the Desnianskyi district.
