In the Odesa region, a second Russian strike damaged State Emergency Service equipment

Russian troops launched a second strike on the site where rescue workers were clearing up the aftermath of the previous attack in the Odesa region. The shelling damaged specialized equipment belonging to the State Emergency Service, but no personnel were injured.

The State Emergency Service reported that the rescue workers were taking cover at the time of the second attack. This is what prevented any casualties.

Russian troops once again attacked the site where Ukrainian rescue workers were operating. This time, the second strike hit State Emergency Service personnel in the Odesa region who were clearing up the aftermath of a previous Russian shelling.

According to the State Emergency Service, the enemy launched a second strike just as the firefighters were carrying out their work. “Special rescue equipment used to address the aftermath of the attack sustained damage,” the State Emergency Service reported. Despite the second round of shelling, no rescuers were injured. At the time of the strike, they were taking cover in accordance with safety protocols.

As a result of the attack, specialized equipment used to address the aftermath of the Russian shelling was damaged. No information regarding other damage or casualties has been reported so far.

The State Emergency Service emphasizes that this is not the first time Russian troops have launched follow-up strikes on locations where emergency services are already operating. Such attacks pose an additional danger to people arriving to rescue victims and clean up the aftermath of shelling.

Despite the constant threat, Ukrainian rescue workers continue to carry out their duties and respond to sites of Russian attacks to help people and clean up the aftermath of the strikes as quickly as possible. This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
