Russian infantry advances have stalled in the Pokrovsk sector, but assaults continue
In the Pokrovsk direction, the advance of Russian infantry units has slowed, but the enemy’s combat activity has not completely ceased.
Oleksiy Godzenko, spokesperson for the “Korsar” battalion of the 38th Separate Marine Brigade named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachny, discussed the situation on Army TV.
According to him, in the unit’s area of responsibility, particularly near Myrnohrad, there has been a decrease in the enemy’s assault attempts, but Russian troops continue to engage in active operations.
At the same time, the activity of Russian drones has become significantly more intense; they are used both to strike Ukrainian positions and to remotely mine territories. Meanwhile, as noted, mechanized assaults are rarely used.
“Comprehensive operations are currently underway. This includes both surveillance and the elimination of individual Russian soldiers or groups, as well as their equipment. They’re being sent on suicide assaults, either alone or in groups. Whether you’re a conscript or not, whether it’s a storm-Z or not, you have to go. The survival rate of the Russians is extremely low,” noted a spokesperson for the “Korsar” battalion.
The unit emphasizes that Russian attacks continue primarily with small infantry groups operating in a dispersed manner, which makes it difficult to detect and eliminate them.
