In the Sumy region, fires were extinguished in four communities following the attacks

In the Sumy region, rescue workers spent the day extinguishing fires that broke out as a result of Russian attacks in four communities simultaneously. The fires engulfed residential buildings, farm structures, and civilian vehicles. Despite the risk of further strikes, the fires were successfully extinguished. The Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in the Sumy region reported this on Facebook.

On May 22, in the Sumy region, rescuers worked under constant danger, as the region was under Russian attack throughout the day, resulting in large-scale fires in four communities.

According to the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in the Sumy region, fires were reported in the Shostka, Hlukhiv, Sveska, and Krolevets communities, where the flames damaged residential buildings, farm structures, and civilian vehicles.

“The enemy has been attacking the Sumy region all day,” the State Emergency Service noted, highlighting the intensity of the shelling and the difficulty of the rescuers’ work in the frontline region.

Despite the threat of repeated strikes, fire and rescue units were able to quickly contain and completely extinguish all fire outbreaks, preventing the fire from spreading to other structures.

The agency emphasized that the situation in the region remains tense, and rescue workers continue to operate on high alert, responding to new emergencies arising from the constant attacks.

As a reminder, Russia attacked a substation in the Kramatorsk district with an FPV drone.

In the Zolochiv community of the Kharkiv region, a Russian drone attacked the Hryhorii Skovoroda National Literary and Memorial Museum.
