In the Sumy region, Russians attacked a Nova Poshta terminal with drones
Russian troops launched a drone strike on the “Nova Poshta” sorting terminal in the Sumy region. The attack damaged the property of thousands of the company’s customers.
According to the carrier, enemy drones attacked the facility twice this morning. No terminal employees were injured at the time of the strike.
A fire broke out on the premises following the strikes, which was quickly extinguished by State Emergency Service rescue workers.
As a result of the attack, the building’s roof, some equipment, and the mesh containers where parcels were stored were damaged. At the time of the attack, there were over 13,000 shipments at the terminal with a total declared value of over 42 million UAH.
An assessment of the condition of the cargo and the extent of the damage is currently underway.
The company has assured customers that they will be reimbursed for the declared value of all shipments that were destroyed or damaged as a result of the Russian strike.
The attack on the logistics facility marks yet another instance of shelling targeting civilian infrastructure that provides vital services to the population.
