In Sumy region, three municipal workers were injured in a Russian drone attack
Three men aged 48, 55, and 56 were injured as a result of a Russian drone attack in the Verkhnosyrovatka community of Sumy district on February 2, 2026.
According to the Sumy Regional Prosecutor’s Office, at around 01:00 p.m. the occupiers struck a municipal service vehicle intended for the collection of solid household waste with a drone. The injured are receiving medical assistance, and law enforcement officers at the scene are documenting the consequences of another Russian war crime against civilian infrastructure.
This attack was part of systematic shelling of border areas carried out by the Russian Federation in an attempt to destabilize the work of municipal services in frontline zones. Prosecutors, in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies, are currently conducting investigative actions to document the circumstances of the terrorist act in the Verkhnosyrovatka community. Strikes against specialized equipment that ensures the functioning of populated areas once again confirm Russia’s tactics aimed at Ukraine’s civilian population.
In Dnipro, two people — a woman and a man — were killed as a result of an enemy drone strike.
On the night of February 1, Russian forces carried out a massive attack on Ukraine, using 90 drones, about 60 of which were Shahed-type strike UAVs.
