Ivashchenko, Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, visited the front lines in the Zaporizhzhia sector

Lieutenant General Oleg Ivashchenko, Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, made a working trip to the Zaporizhzhia sector, where he met with active-duty units carrying out combat and special missions.

The commanders reported on the results of their work, changes in the situation, and issues requiring decisions at the command level. Following the meetings, the agency head refined the units’ tasks, taking into account the current situation and the experience gained in combat.

“We cannot compete with the enemy solely on the basis of the quantity of resources. Our advantage lies in our ability to spot changes faster, analyze them, and make decisions,” Oleg Ivashchenko emphasized. He stressed that the practical experience of the troops must directly influence future operational planning, the training of service members, and the development of capabilities.

Ivashchenko, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, commented on the Security Service of Ukraine’s (SBU) firing on his troops.

Russia has sufficient resources to continue the war against Ukraine at least through 2027 and 2028, despite a significant deterioration in the economic situation compared to the start of the full-scale invasion, according to Ivashchenko.
