The fiercest fighting is taking place in the Pokrovsk and Huliaipole sectors — General Staff
Since the start of the day on June 2, Russian troops have attacked the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces 54 times. The situation remains most tense in the Pokrovsk and Huliaipole sectors.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the occupiers carried out 19 attacks in the areas of Novooleksandrivka, Hryshyne, and Udachne, as well as in the direction of Bilytske, Stepiv, Ivanivka, Serhiivka, and Dorozhne. As of 4:00 p.m., four firefights were ongoing.
In the Huliaipole sector, Ukrainian forces repelled 15 attacks near Dobropillia, Zlagoda, Zaliznychne, Olenokostyantynivka, and in the direction of Vozdvyzhivka, Verkhnia Tersa, Huliaipole, and Charivne. One engagement was still ongoing.
In the Kostyantynivka sector, eight attacks were recorded in the areas of Kostyantynivka, Ivanopil, Pleshchiivka, and Stepanivka. Three battles are ongoing.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled four assaults near Zarichne and in the direction of Lyman. One battle is ongoing.
In the Sloviansk direction, the Defense Forces stopped one attempt by Russian troops to advance toward Kryva Luka.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attacked Ukrainian military positions in the direction of Kupiansk.
In the Orikhiv sector, the occupiers carried out one attack in the Shcherbakiv area, and in the Dnipro sector, they made one attempt to advance toward the Antonivsky Bridge.
One combat engagement took place in the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk sectors. Meanwhile, the Russians carried out 35 shelling attacks on Ukrainian positions and populated areas, including two using multiple launch rocket systems.
Settlements in the Sumy and Chernihiv regions came under artillery fire.
No enemy offensive actions were recorded in the Southern Slobozhansky and Kramatorsk sectors.

Russian theater and film actor Artur Smolyaninov, who was added to Russia’s list of “terrorists and extremists” for condemning the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, was attacked by a Russian man in Germany. An unknown individual used profanity toward the actor and threatened to “tear him to pieces” when he arrives in Russia.
