MP Kostenko: Putin is dragging out negotiations, Ukraine must unite and defend itself
Member of Parliament Roman Kostenko stated that by delaying negotiations, Russia is attempting to preserve its army for new attacks on Ukraine.
“This is a fact. Putin is trying to prepare for an offensive, and we absolutely must not fall for it,” the MP stressed.
According to him, negotiations are currently taking place in the United Arab Emirates and will later continue in other countries. He compared the situation to the previous Minsk agreements, during which Russia also deliberately prolonged the process.
Kostenko emphasised: “The President rightly said that we are a subject [of international relations] and that we must unite. If Europe cannot help us, we have no other choice. There is the option of surrendering and enduring the consequences of occupation — but I do not know how many people would survive that — or to fight.”
It is recalled that a round of trilateral negotiations on the war has concluded in the UAE.
Talks in Abu Dhabi have reached a deadlock, Reuters reported.
