Russian forces attack Dnipropetrovsk region nearly 40 times
Over the course of the day, Russian forces carried out nearly 40 attacks on the Dnipropetrovsk region using drones, artillery, and aerial bombs. Two people were killed, and one woman was injured. Rural communities, infrastructure facilities, and private homes were the most affected. This was reported on Telegram by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Hanzha.
Russian forces shelled four districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region, Hanzha said on Telegram. The Synelnykove, Pavlohrad, Nikopol, and Kryvyi Rih districts came under attack. In total, about 40 strikes were recorded during the day, including artillery, air strikes, and drone attacks.
In the Synelnykove district, the Petropavlivka, Pokrovske, Slovianske, and Mezhova communities were hit. As a result of the attacks, two people were killed, and an agricultural enterprise, five private houses, and several vehicles were damaged. In Pavlohrad, an infrastructure facility was damaged, while in the Nikopol district, a 54-year-old woman was injured and taken to the hospital. In the Zelenodolsk community of the Kryvyi Rih district, a private house was damaged.
“Throughout the day, Russian forces were almost continuously striking populated areas and critical infrastructure. The situation remains tense,” Hanzha said. Authorities are urging local residents to follow safety rules, stay in shelters during air raid alerts, and report any damage or casualties.
Also on April 2, Russian occupying forces carried out a series of attacks on the Kherson region, using artillery and FPV drones against civilians.
Over the past week, Russian forces have significantly increased their use of drones in attacks on the Kherson region.
Earlier, Russian forces also attacked the Kyiv region with drones, causing damage.
