Occupiers attacked residential buildings and a port in the Odesa region with drones
On the night of March 22, Russian forces launched a massive attack using strike drones on the Odesa region, targeting residential areas and port infrastructure.
As a result of the enemy shelling, damage to private homes and warehouses was reported, though no casualties were recorded.
According to official information from Oleg Kipper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, the enemy once again focused its efforts on destroying civilian facilities.
The head of the Regional Military Administration emphasized the systematic nature of such actions by the aggressor against the region’s civilian population.
“The civilian infrastructure of the Odesa region has once again come under a massive attack by enemy drones,” he noted in his official report.
The main impact was felt in the suburbs of Odesa, where residential areas are located. Falling debris from downed drones and direct hits caused significant damage to citizens’ property.
In two private homes, the blast wave and debris completely destroyed the roofs and shattered the windows. Local authorities have already begun assessing the damage to provide further assistance to homeowners.
Experts note that the scale of the destruction could have been significantly greater had it not been for the effective work of the air defense forces. Cleanup operations are currently underway in the areas surrounding the damaged buildings.
In addition to the residential sector, Russian invaders once again attempted to damage Ukraine’s economic potential. The infrastructure of one of the region’s ports came under enemy fire.
In particular, damage was recorded to a warehouse building located on the territory of the port terminal. Attacks on maritime logistics remain a priority target for the occupying forces in the southern regions.
Such actions by the enemy are aimed at destabilizing the operation of the “grain corridor” and intimidating international partners.
However, the port’s technical services are already working to address the damage and restore the facility’s full functionality.
According to preliminary data from the Regional Military Administration, there are no casualties or injuries among the local population. This was made possible by a rapid response to air raid alerts.
Emergency and rescue services continue to operate on-site in an enhanced mode. The active phase of documenting the consequences of yet another war crime by the Russian Federation is ongoing.
As a reminder, Russian troops launched a massive attack on the Dnipropetrovsk region.
The Russians also attacked Sloviansk with high-explosive bombs.
