Russian occupation forces launched a second attack on law enforcement officers who had responded to a call to document damage to a truck caused by a previous enemy attack. Employees of the city’s emergency management department, who were heading to the scene, spotted the patrol officers and quickly evacuated them to a safe location.

This was reported by the Kharkiv City Council.

According to Viktor Levchenko, head of the Kharkiv Regional Patrol Police, the patrol officers managed to move away from the vehicle to a safe distance in time, so they were not injured during this second explosion.

The department head told Suspilne in a comment that the call to the patrol crew initially came in as a routine report of a traffic accident, since the occupiers had struck a civilian truck. Once law enforcement officers arrived at the scene, it became clear that the truck had been struck by an enemy drone, after which a second Russian drone immediately flew in and destroyed the police vehicle. The official emphasized that such double strikes against special forces at the site of the attack are a common insidious practice for the Russian military.

In the Kharkiv region, Russian troops attacked a civilian truck with an FPV drone while it was in motion. The 40-year-old driver was killed in the strike.

On May 21, Russian occupation forces attacked Kryvyi Rih with Shahed-type strike drones. An industrial facility was damaged in the strike, and one person was injured.

On the night of May 21, Russian occupiers attacked Dnipro, resulting in damage to a five-story residential building in the city.

On May 20, Russian troops launched a drone strike on an industrial facility in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
