Occupiers in Luhansk region seize fuel from farmers for needs of the Russian army

In the temporarily occupied territories of Luhansk region, Russian forces have reportedly begun openly seizing resources from the agricultural sector.

The critical situation was reported by the head of the regional military administration, Oleksii Kharchenko, on his Telegram channel.

According to him, the occupation administration has moved to forcibly confiscate resources from local agricultural producers, putting the region’s food security at risk.

He stated that these actions are effectively paralysing preparations for the spring sowing campaign and threatening the area with food shortages.

The occupation authorities of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic have reportedly issued an order requiring farmers and heads of agricultural enterprises to “voluntarily under compulsion” hand over a significant portion of their resources. This includes the seizure of at least 30% of available diesel fuel reserves.

The occupiers officially justify the decision by citing an acute fuel shortage among units of the Russian Armed Forcesstationed in the region. As a result, local farmers are being forced to finance military operations against their own country at their own expense.

It was previously reported that the Russian Federation is attempting to encircle Myrnohrad from the north.

In addition, occupiers near Pokrovsk reportedly shot civilians and then fled their positions.
