Consequences of Ternopil attack revealed
On the night of 19 November, Russian troops carried out a combined attack on the city of Ternopil, targeting a multi-storey residential building.
According to Mayor Serhiy Nadal, several buildings were damaged in the shelling. Rescue operations are ongoing, and emergency services are providing medical assistance to the injured.
The Ternopil Regional Military Administration reported that neighbouring buildings were also hit, disrupting public transport in the city. At least 36 people were injured, including two children. Authorities are continuing rescue operations, and casualty figures are still being clarified.
"Services are working at the sites of the strikes. Damaged buildings are located on several streets. The rescue operation is ongoing. Medical assistance is being provided to the victims," said Mayor Serhiy Nadal.
The attack on Ternopil is part of a massive campaign carried out by Russia across Ukraine, including strikes using kamikaze drones. The situation remains difficult, and rescue operations, as well as investigations into the circumstances of the victims, are ongoing.
