Nine regions in Ukraine have lost power due to enemy shelling and severe weather
Due to ongoing hostilities and adverse weather conditions, widespread power outages have been reported among consumers in nine regions of Ukraine.
Currently, specialized emergency crews have been placed on a 24-hour duty schedule to promptly repair the damage.
Despite the difficult situation in the power grid, the introduction of scheduled power cuts or electricity consumption restrictions is not currently anticipated.
The main factor behind the large-scale disruptions in electricity supply remains armed aggression and shelling of critical infrastructure. Massive strikes by Russian forces have damaged power grids in the east, south, and north of the country.
Powerful explosions have caused significant damage to local energy facilities.
“As a result of hostilities and shelling of energy facilities, some consumers in the Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv regions are temporarily without power,” the statement said.
The situation was significantly complicated by a weather front that brought strong gusts of wind and heavy rain.
Due to the bad weather, 26 settlements in the Kyiv and Chernihiv regions remain without power. Repair crews are working to restore damaged power lines.
Power company employees are doing everything possible to restore power to all customers as quickly as possible. Restoration work is ongoing around the clock, and specialists are equipped with the necessary equipment.
Residents can find out about any local changes in power supply on the official websites of distribution system operators.
