Near Vovchansk, border guards rescued a wounded soldier
Archival footage of the evacuation of a wounded Ukrainian soldier near Vovchansk has been shared online. Border guards from the “Forpost” unit carried out a complex operation under constant threat of enemy shelling, using the only possible route to withdraw from their positions.
The archival video, released by the border guards, shows one of the dangerous evacuations in the Vovchansk area. It was here that fighters from the “Forpost” unit carried a wounded soldier out of the active combat zone. The operation took place under extremely difficult conditions. The only way out of their positions was a destroyed bridge. There were no other safe routes, so the soldiers had to act quickly and with the utmost coordination.
The surrounding area was under constant threat of enemy attacks. Russian troops regularly shelled this sector, and there was virtually nowhere to take cover. Every minute of delay could cost the lives of both the wounded soldier and those who came to his aid. Despite the danger, the border guards quickly reached the designated location. They found the wounded soldier, carefully carried him out of the danger zone, and transported him to a place where first aid could be administered and he could be prepared for further evacuation. “The ‘Forpost’ border guards carried out the operation across a destroyed bridge, which remained the only possible route out of their positions,” the unit reported.
Such evacuations often take place far from cameras. They require precise coordination, quick decisions, and complete trust among comrades. After all, the main task is to retrieve the wounded person before the situation becomes even more dangerous. “The soldiers quickly reached the designated point, retrieved the wounded soldier, and carried him to a safer location for further medical care,” the border guards noted.
The Vovchansk sector remains one of the hottest spots on the front lines. That is why every successful evacuation is the result of the professional work of the military, who risk their own lives every day to save their comrades. This was reported by the State Border Guard Service.
