President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Russia will certainly face a response for the massive combined strike on Kyiv that the occupiers launched on the night of July 2.
During a visit to the site of the strike in the Darnytskyi district, the head of state emphasized that Ukraine seeks a just peace, but until it is achieved, it will respond to Russian attacks.
“Russia will face a response to today’s strike on Kyiv—that is certain. We are for a just peace, and until it is achieved, we will respond in kind,” Zelenskyy said.
On the night of July 2, Russia launched 570 air-attack weapons at Ukraine—496 strike drones and 74 missiles of various types. In Kyiv, damage was reported at more than 30 locations, with destruction in seven districts of the capital; in particular, there were direct hits on residential buildings.
