Zelenskyy: Putin wants to bomb residential buildings, not end the war
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Russia continues to launch attacks on residential buildings because it is unable to achieve success on the battlefield. According to him, the Kremlin has no intention of ending the war.
The head of state emphasized that missile strikes on civilian cities remain Russia’s primary tool today, and Ukraine needs to strengthen its defenses against ballistic missiles. He called on partners to expedite the delivery of air defense systems and the development of European anti-ballistic defense capabilities.
Zelenskyy also reported that Ukraine is continuing negotiations with the U.S. to obtain a license to manufacture Patriot systems, which are expected to significantly strengthen Ukraine’s air defense.
