Russia lost a Ka-52 combat helicopter; the pilot was killed

The Russian occupation army lost another Ka-52 “Alligator” combat helicopter, which had been used in the war against Ukraine.

News of the invaders’ loss emerged from a report by the propaganda Telegram channel “Voevoda Veshchaet,” published on the afternoon of July 2. The propagandist’s statement confirms the death of the pilot, while the fate of the other crew member—the navigator-operator—remains unknown at this time.

The report does not disclose the exact cause of the aircraft’s loss, nor when and where exactly it occurred. It is worth noting that the Russians periodically use Ka-52 helicopters in attempts to intercept Ukrainian long-range kamikaze drones.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian forces destroyed a Russian Ka-52 “Alligator” attack helicopter using an FPV drone. It is estimated that a single Ka-52 helicopter costs about $16 million, while an FPV drone costs only a few hundred dollars.
