Peskov threatens continuation of the war if a peaceful solution is impossible
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that Russia will continue its “special military operation” if its goals cannot be achieved through peaceful means.
This was reported by TASS.
According to Peskov, Russian forces are demonstrating “good momentum,” and therefore, if the conflict cannot be resolved peacefully, Moscow will continue the operation and do everything necessary to protect “its interests.”
The spokesman added that the Kremlin’s position has not changed after the U.S.–Russia presidential summit in Alaska; however, Russia is “ready to show flexibility in order to find a solution,” remains open to negotiations, and is interested in working on the document prepared by the team of former U.S. President Donald Trump.
It was also reported that the American “peace plan” has been reduced to 19 points and is being kept secret.
