Following the Russian Federation’s attack, the Dobrobut Medical Center in Kyiv will be temporarily closed

On Monday, September 28, Russian occupiers struck the “Dobrobut” medical center in Kyiv. There were casualties as a result of the enemy attack. Following the shelling, the medical center will temporarily suspend its operations. “Dobrobut” also issued a statement regarding the consequences of the Russian strike.

“Today, the enemy struck our medical center on Antonovych Street for the second time. Most importantly—and thankfully—all employees and visitors are alive. Currently, seven people have been injured, six of whom are Dobrobut employees,” the statement reads.

All available teams from the “emergency” network quickly arrived at the scene and provided medical assistance to the injured; several people were transported to emergency rooms.

"The upper floors, where the Dobrobut Academy is located, are damaged and on fire, as are the first floors, where the fire has engulfed the clinic’s premises. The blast wave shattered windows on the first through third floors from the inner courtyard, and medical equipment was also damaged,” the press service noted.

Firefighters and the State Emergency Service are working at the site of the strike. As a result of the attack, this medical center will be closed for the next few days, while the rest of the “Dobrobut” medical centers continue to operate.

Reaction from the Ministry of Health

“Attacks on medical facilities across Ukraine occur almost daily. Today is no exception: the Russians struck a medical center in downtown Kyiv,” the Ministry of Health stated.

During the strike on the building of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences in Kyiv on September 28, scientists and employees of the institution were killed, and a number of people remain unaccounted for.

Former Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Academician Volodymyr Horbulin, sustained minor injuries during the Russian strike on the building of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. His assistant was killed in the attack.
