Two people remain missing following a missile strike on Lviv
A search-and-rescue operation is underway in Lviv on July 30 at the site of a Russian missile strike. According to Mayor Andriy Sadovyi, two people are still missing. Rescuers also managed to evacuate an elderly man who uses a wheelchair from the damaged building.
“As of now, two people are considered missing. There are 34 known casualties,” Sadovyi wrote on Telegram on Thursday.
According to him, mobile administrative service centers have also been set up near the site of the strike to assist residents of the damaged building. “Applications will be accepted today until 7:00 p.m. so that residents can quickly complete the necessary paperwork and file claims,” Sadovyi wrote.
As previously reported, a Russian missile strike on Paton and Vyhovsky Streets in Lviv damaged 21 buildings, a kindergarten, and a school. An unexploded missile warhead was found on Vyhovsky Street and has already been defused. A total of 23 victims sought medical assistance; 13 remain in the hospital. One person is in critical condition.
Sadovyi had previously announced plans to fully rebuild the lost housing at the city’s expense.
As a reminder, one person was killed in Kyiv as a result of a Russian strike, and fires broke out in two districts.
Russian drones also killed a person in the Poltava region and attacked a Nova Poshta facility.
In addition, a Russian missile killed a family with many children in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Russia attacked Lviv with missiles: residential buildings were on fire in the city, and there are casualties.
Earlier, Zelenskyy had warned of a possible massive Russian strike tonight.
