Following the strike on the Russian military-industrial complex “Avitek” in Kirov, local residents claim that authorities may be underreporting the number of factory workers killed and injured.

According to the Exilenova+ Telegram channel, Kirov Region Governor Alexander Sokolov stated that five people were killed and another 26 were injured as a result of the attack. According to him, one of the plant’s employees, who had previously been presumed dead and was trapped under the rubble, was found alive.

At the same time, local residents claim that the actual scale of the casualties may be significantly higher. According to them, Workshop 19 at the Avitek plant was completely destroyed, and approximately 200 people could have been working at that production facility.

City residents also claim that, prior to the strike, the plant allegedly did not sound an air raid siren, did not conduct an evacuation, and did not issue any warnings to the staff.
