Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad at risk of falling due to logistical collapse
Military expert Vladyslav Selezniov has warned of a critical deterioration on the Pokrovsk front.
In an interview with OBOZ.UA, he stated that serious logistical and supply problems for Ukrainian units mean holding key cities in the agglomeration — Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad — could become a matter of just weeks.
According to the analyst, Russian occupation forces have gained fire or physical control over important logistical hubs, including the villages of Rodynske and Hryshyne. This has effectively cut off the main supply routes for the Ukrainian units defending the northern and north-eastern districts of Pokrovsk.
“The question of losing control over Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad is a matter of weeks. It could even happen sooner. The situation there is extremely unfavourable for us,” Selezniov emphasised.
He explained that without stable logistics, city defence becomes an exhausting operation lacking adequate resources.
It should be recalled that Russian forces recently shot civilians near Pokrovsk before fleeing their positions. Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian defenders have also reportedly eliminated 820 enemy troops.
