Ukrainian children are turning in Russian terrorist masterminds to the SBU and the police en masse
In Ukraine, more than 260 children have already reported to law enforcement after Russian intelligence services attempted to recruit them to carry out terrorist attacks. Thanks to these reports, a number of crimes were prevented, said National Police spokesperson Andriy Nebitov.
“According to Nebitov, children are among those who were targeted for recruitment. Already, 260 children have contacted law enforcement and helped prevent the terrorist attacks for which they were being exploited,” the National Police of Ukraine stated.
Law enforcement officials are urging Ukrainians not to comply with such demands and to contact them immediately if unknown individuals threaten them, blackmail them, or try to force them to carry out suspicious tasks.
In addition, the police reported a new Russian recruitment scheme in which criminals call buyers of dietary supplements, purportedly on behalf of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).
In this case, as Nebitov stated, the victim is accused of financing Russian aggression, after which they are psychologically pressured and forced to carry out a “task”: first to photograph a target, then to set a soldier’s car on fire, and finally to carry out a terrorist attack.”
The SBU has notified a Russian intelligence officer of its suspicion that he recruited teenagers to carry out sabotage operations.
As a reminder, the SBU detained a woman suspected of working for Russian intelligence services.
The SBU has also uncovered new schemes for evading mobilization throughout Ukraine.
