The Air Force has unveiled a new tactic for deploying suicide drones
Russian troops have fired approximately 7,700 “Shahed” rockets at Ukraine and are adjusting their tactics based on weather conditions. This was reported by Yuriy Ignat, head of the Communications Department of the Ukrainian Air Force Command.
According to him, the enemy is taking advantage of fog and cloud cover, which complicate the work of Ukrainian air defense forces. In September alone—though not the entire month—the occupiers used approximately 1,900 attack drones with jet engines, compared to 2,800 in July, with a shoot-down rate of approximately 60%. Ignat added that the enemy is combining launches of conventional and jet-powered UAVs, and that the future of air defense lies, in particular, with jet-powered interceptor drones.
The Air Force also emphasized the importance of promptly receiving information from NATO partners regarding launches of “Zircon” high-speed missiles in order to have sufficient time to warn the public.

In the Russian “Alabuga” Special Economic Zone in Tatarstan, underground production facilities are being built that could be used to manufacture strike drones. According to the OSINT project Dnipro Osint, satellite imagery indicates the creation of approximately 42,000 square meters of underground space.
Ukraine currently faces a significant shortage of air defense missiles, as well as ammunition for fighter aircraft. Aviation expert Kostyantyn Kryvolap stated that the transfer of 10 missiles from Bundeswehr warehouses will not solve the problem but will only partially replenish stocks.
