A second Russian attack killed a medic who was treating the wounded in Kyiv

Eva Reuter, a paramedic with the “Hospitaliers” battalion, was killed during a second Russian strike on Kyiv on the night of August 1. She was rushing to help the wounded when Russia launched another attack.

“Once again, we have to share terrible news… It’s very hard to announce the deaths of such incredible and radiant people,” the post reads.

Eva Reuter was 25 years old. According to Yana Zinkevich, she had recently been on duty with rescue workers in Kyiv. And it was precisely at the moment when she was running to help save the wounded that a second strike occurred, taking her life.

“Our Planochka, our Alice. She was only 25. Eva was an artist and art historian; she worked in game development and earned her bachelor’s degree from the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture,” said the medical battalion commander about the deceased.

According to Zinkevych, Eva Reuter joined the “Hospitaliers” battalion in November 2022, and “although she had every right to stay in the rear, she chose to save the lives of others.”
