In Russia, an occupier who beat a colleague to death with a dildo was convicted

Alexei Marushchenko, founder of the Russian private military company “Yastreb,” was sentenced to 18 years in a strict-regime penal colony on charges of fraud, extortion, abuse of authority, kidnapping, and murder.

The investigation established that, with the support of General Alexander Dembitsky, the defendant exerted influence over assault units and, under the guise of recruiting for the PMC, enlisted people into contract service, resulting in harm to 90 military personnel, and the total losses amounted to approximately 8 million rubles. 

Alexey Marushchenko was also involved in the torture and murder of soldier Dmitry Poloumov—he was chained to a pole and then beaten to death with a dildo. Earlier in this case, militant Ivan Tikhomirov was sentenced to up to 5 years in prison for torture.
