Drones attacked the Carpathian region and Ternopil Oblast; explosions were heard

On the morning of September 13, explosions were heard in the Ivano-Frankivsk and Ternopil regions amid a massive attack by Russian strike drones. Air defense forces were deployed in the regions.

Enemy strike drones were detected in the Ivano-Frankivsk district

At around 7:10 a.m., Svitlana Onyshchuk, head of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Military Administration, reported that air defense systems were active and urged residents to remain in shelters.

Later, the regional head clarified that, according to preliminary information, one person was injured as a result of the enemy attack.

After 8:00 a.m., Ivano-Frankivsk Mayor Ruslan Martsinkiv also urged residents to respond to the threat.

“It’s going to get loud! Let’s react,” the mayor warned.

Taras Pastukh, head of the Ternopil Regional State Administration, reported an increased danger to the region. According to him, Russian troops have intensified their air attacks on western Ukraine.

At 7:48 a.m., he reported that a drone was approaching Zbarazh.

“One of the drones is near Zbarazh, heading toward Ternopil. Take cover!” the regional head said.

At 8:08 a.m., Pastukh warned that another group of drones from the Khmelnytskyi region was moving toward Ternopil.

Local residents also reported explosions in Ternopil and the activity of air defense forces.

At the same time, details regarding the consequences of the Russian attack are currently being verified.

On the night of September 12–13, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 453 strike drones of various types. Air defense forces neutralized 409 enemy targets.

On September 12, a Russian drone attacked a branch of a logistics company in the Odesa region. Two people were injured as a result of the strike.

As a reminder, part of the Rivne region was left without electricity due to Russian shelling.

The Russians also struck a passenger train at the Lutsk train station.

Overnight, the Russians fired Kalibr missiles at a high-rise building in Odesa.
