Border guards destroyed Russian artillery and electronic warfare equipment in the Slobozhanshchyna region
Ukrainian border guards are destroying Russian artillery pieces, electronic warfare systems, and radar stations in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna sector. Drone operators from the 105th Border Guard Detachment named after Prince Volodymyr the Great are striking enemy equipment.
Ukrainian drone pilots continue to target Russian equipment in the Northern Slobozhansky sector. This time, the strikes targeted artillery pieces, electronic warfare systems, radar stations, and other technical equipment belonging to Russian forces.
Pilots from the 105th Border Guard Detachment named after Prince Volodymyr the Great joined in the destruction of enemy targets. They use drones daily to locate and strike Russian military equipment.
Drones Hunt Down Russian Artillery
Russian artillery systems remain one of the main targets for Ukrainian operators. It is these artillery pieces that allow Russian troops to strike Ukrainian positions and populated areas. Their destruction directly impacts the enemy’s ability to fire.
The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine notes that every successful kamikaze drone strike helps reduce the number of shelling attacks on Ukrainian positions and civilian infrastructure in the Chernihiv region. “Every successful kamikaze drone flight reduces the number of shelling attacks on the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces and civilian infrastructure in the Chernihiv region,” the Border Guard Service emphasized.

In addition to artillery, border guards are attacking Russian electronic warfare systems and radar stations. Russian troops use electronic warfare to interfere with the operation of Ukrainian drones. Such systems can complicate the control of drones and their operations in the combat zone.
Radar stations serve a different purpose—they help the enemy detect aerial targets and monitor the situation in the sky. Therefore, destroying such systems opens up more opportunities for the Ukrainian military to continue operating drones. The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine specifically highlighted this effect. “At the same time, destroying drone surveillance and jamming systems improves the effectiveness of our troops’ strikes,” the agency noted.
How Border Guards Operate
Drone operators first search for Russian equipment. Once a target is detected, the drone is directed toward the identified object. In the released footage, one can see Ukrainian UAVs in action and the destruction of Russian equipment. This method of combating the enemy allows Ukrainian military personnel to engage targets from a distance without exposing their troops to direct contact with the enemy.
These strikes become particularly important when they succeed in destroying not just a single piece of equipment, but elements of a system that support the operations of other Russian units. For example, destroying an electronic warfare (EW) system can facilitate the operations of Ukrainian reconnaissance and strike drones in the area.
Border Guards Continue to Defend the Border
The State Border Guard Service notes that its personnel continue to serve as part of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. They are holding the line, defending the state border, and striking Russian troops. The Northern Slobozhanshchyna sector remains crucial for the defense of Ukraine’s northern regions. Russian troops may use positions located near the border to shell Ukrainian territory.
Therefore, destroying enemy artillery and systems that help the Russians conduct reconnaissance and counter Ukrainian drones is part of the Defense Forces’ ongoing operations. The State Border Guard Service emphasizes that its personnel continue to do everything possible to ensure the safety of people and Ukrainian territories. At the same time, the service did not report the exact number of destroyed artillery pieces, electronic warfare systems, and radar stations, nor did it specify the timing of the strikes. This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, which also released a video showing the military in action.
Russian troops struck a residential building in Kherson with a guided aerial bomb. Three people were injured in the attack—an 84-year-old man, a 75-year-old woman, and a 43-year-old man. All were taken to the hospital.
Russian drones caused major fires in the Synelnykivskyi district of Dnipropetrovsk region. A food warehouse and a logistics company building caught fire, and rescue workers had to work on site all night. The fire was successfully extinguished.
Over the past day, Russian troops engaged in combat with the Ukrainian Defense Forces 245 times. The highest number of attacks was recorded in the Pokrovsk direction—43; another 17 assaults took place in the Kostiantynivka direction, and nine each in the Pivdenno-Slobozhansky and Kupiansky directions.
Over the past day, the Russian army lost another 1,390 soldiers in the war against Ukraine. The Ukrainian General Staff also reports the destruction of three multiple-launch rocket systems, one air defense system, and more than 1,400 drones.
