Russia attacked a food processing plant in the Chernihiv region; there are casualties
Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops have attacked the Chernihiv region with various types of drones. Two women were injured in the strikes, and food processing plants, industrial facilities, and residential buildings sustained damage.
According to the head of the regional military administration, Russian forces struck a food processing plant in Novhorod-Siverskyi with a “Gerbera”-type drone early the previous morning.
As a result of the attack, a 32-year-old woman sought medical attention and was diagnosed with a hypertensive crisis. She is currently receiving outpatient treatment.
In addition, private residential buildings were damaged in a village in the Novhorod-Siverskyi community as a result of an attack by a “Molniya” drone.
In a village in the Chernihiv district, a residential building caught fire following a strike by a “Geran” drone. Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze.
Later that night, two more “Geran” drones attacked the same village, striking a local business and damaging its production facility.
Also overnight, a Russian “Molniya” drone struck Semenivka.
The strike set a residential building on fire, and a 76-year-old woman was injured. According to medical personnel, her condition is considered moderate.
This was reported by Vyacheslav Chaus, head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, on Telegram.
Due to Russian shelling of energy infrastructure, some consumers in the Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Kherson regions are temporarily without power. This was reported by the Ministry of Energy as of the morning of August 6.
As a reminder, in the temporarily occupied city of Mariupol in the Donetsk region, power and water outages occurred following explosions on August 5 and during the night of August 5–6.
