Russia attacked Lutsk with drones; a Nova Poshta terminal was destroyed and there is damage
In Lutsk, Russian attack drones struck industrial infrastructure, destroying a Nova Poshta terminal and damaging an apartment building.
This was reported by the Lutsk City Council on Telegram.
“One of the industrial facilities in Lutsk was hit. A residential building was also damaged by debris from a ‘Shahed’ drone. Information about casualties is being verified,” the statement reads.
Mayor Ihor Polishchuk clarified that the targets of the attack were warehouse facilities.
“The strategic targets for the attack were identified as a Nova Poshta warehouse and a food warehouse belonging to one of the retail chains. A balcony on one of the high-rise buildings was also damaged, where a fire broke out,” he noted.
Nova Poshta reported that the attack occurred on the morning of April 1, and the terminal was completely destroyed as a result of the strike.
“All employees were in shelters at the time of the strike and were unharmed,” the company emphasized.
An assessment of the extent of the damage is currently underway. Law enforcement and rescue workers are on the scene. Once the aftermath of the strike has been cleared, the volume of damaged cargo will be determined.
The company also assured that customers will be compensated for their losses.
“The company will compensate customers for lost shipments. We will contact you shortly to provide details on the compensation. Additional information about your shipment can be found in the tracking section of the app,” they noted.
In Velyka Pysarivka, Sumy Oblast, gas distribution infrastructure was damaged as a result of another attack by Russian forces.
Russian troops attacked a civilian vehicle in the Velyka Pysarivka community in Sumy Oblast, dropping explosives from a drone. A man was killed in the strike.
On March 31, Russian invaders attacked infrastructure facilities in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
