On the night of May 24, Russian forces launched a massive attack on the Kyiv region, using strike drones, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles. The shelling resulted in civilian casualties and damage across all districts of the region.
This was reported by Mykola Kalashnyk, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, on Telegram.
According to him, two women were hospitalized in the Fastiv district, and a man was injured in the Bucha district, where medics provided on-site treatment.
The consequences of the Russian attack were recorded throughout the Kyiv region:
in the Fastiv district, private homes and a high-rise building were damaged;
in the Bucha district, a business, warehouse facilities, a high-rise building, and three private homes were damaged;
in theObukhiv and Brovary districts, private homes were damaged;
in the Bila Tserkva district, the territory of a garage cooperative was destroyed;
in the Vyshhorod district, a private home and a high-rise building were damaged;
In the Boryspil district, outbuildings were damaged.
Rescue workers, medical personnel, police, and other emergency services are on the scene.
“The enemy attack is ongoing. Take care of yourselves and your loved ones,” Kalashnik said.
An air raid alert in the region lasted several hours, and air defense forces continued to engage enemy targets.
On May 23, Russian troops launched a second strike on Balakliya in the Kharkiv region. The attack damaged the “Light of the Gospel” church building, an apartment building, and private residential structures. The shelling caused a fire that burned down the church building.
As a reminder, Russia attacked a substation in the Kramatorsk district with an FPV drone.
In the Zolochiv community of the Kharkiv region, a Russian drone attacked the Hryhorii Skovoroda National Literary and Memorial Museum.
