More than 500 children are being evacuated from the Kramatorsk community due to the threat of shelling

In the Donetsk region, mandatory evacuation measures for families with children have been intensified. More than 500 minors are scheduled to be evacuated from the Kramatorsk community along with their parents or legal guardians.

The evacuation will affect residents of three settlements—Kramatorsk, Bilenke, and Krasnotorka. The decision was made due to the security situation in the region and the constant threat of Russian attacks.

Regional authorities are urging families with children not to delay their departure and to take advantage of opportunities to safely relocate to more peaceful areas of Ukraine.

Evacuation from the Kramatorsk Community

Filashkin signed an order mandating the compulsory evacuation of children from certain areas of the Kramatorsk community.

In total, this involves 525 children from 424 families:

  • the village of Krasnotorka—59 children from 46 families;

  • the village of Bilenke—140 children from 104 families;

  • Kramatorsk—326 children from 274 families.

“In Kramatorsk, children living in the most dangerous areas are subject to evacuation. Children will be evacuated together with their parents, guardians, or other legal representatives,” Filashkin noted.

The head of the Regional Military Administration urged parents not to delay and to cooperate with the evacuation teams.

This was reported with reference to a statement by Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, on Telegram.

Kramatorsk is without water: where residents can get water for domestic use.

Russia launched a massive shelling of Kramatorsk; there are fatalities and injuries.

In addition, on the morning of July 31, Russian troops attacked the Sloviansk community in the Donetsk region. The occupiers used a FAB-250 aerial bomb and an FPV drone, resulting in injuries to a civilian. The consequences of the attack are being assessed.

Following the attack on Sloviansk, part of the community was left without power.
