Russia launched a massive attack on the Sumy region, leaving four dead and nine wounded
Four people were killed and nine others were wounded in the Sumy region as a result of Russian shelling over the past 24 hours. Dozens of settlements in the region came under attack.
This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine.
According to law enforcement officials, Russian troops attacked 44 settlements in the Sumy region. Investigative and operational teams, as well as bomb disposal experts, worked at the sites of the strikes.
The Sumy, Shostka, Okhtyrka, and Konotop districts were shelled.
In the Khotyn community, a 38-year-old man was killed as a result of a strike by an enemy drone.
In the Hlukhiv community, a Russian attack claimed the lives of two men aged 52 and 58. In addition, eight civilians were injured: women aged 57, 58, 86, and 92, as well as men aged 33, 37, 54, and 82.
Another tragedy occurred in the Buryn community. There, a Russian drone struck a civilian vehicle. A 48-year-old woman was killed in the strike, and a 58-year-old man was injured.
Law enforcement officials continue to document the consequences of Russian attacks and record war crimes committed by the Russian Federation against the civilian population of the Sumy region.
In Dnipro, two people were killed and six others were wounded as a result of a Russian night attack on May 20. Among the victims are a 42-year-old woman and two men, aged 47 and 25, who are in the hospital in serious condition. Medical personnel are providing them with necessary care; information regarding the condition of the other victims is being clarified.
On the night of May 20, Russian troops struck Odesa using drones. The attack damaged residential buildings, including the complete destruction of a single-story structure. Information about the victims is being verified.
