Russia is spreading a false report about the capture of Ivolzhansk in the Sumy region
Russian propaganda outlets have claimed to have captured the village of Ivolzhanske in the Sumy region. At the same time, the Ukrainian side refutes these claims, emphasizing that the information about these “successes” is fabricated and does not correspond to reality. This was reported on June 24 by the Communications Center of the “Kursk” military group, citing Ukrainian military sources.
The village of Ivolzhanske in Sumy Oblast remains under the full control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. The settlement is located deep behind Ukrainian lines—there have been no assault operations or enemy presence there.
The “Sever” Group, to which the Russians attributed the “capture,” did not approach this settlement.
Regarding reports of fighting involving the 71st Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, they stated:
“Reports of fighting involving the 71st Brigade are yet another manipulation by Russian staff fantasists, who randomly pick the names of Ukrainian units and mark them on a map, drawing arrows to indicate their ‘offensives.’
The statement also notes that the Russian generals’ alleged successes are fabricated.
"Apparently, tired of getting their butts kicked along their own border, Russian generals are pushing the front line forward in the only way available to them—via the keyboard."
According to the “Kursk” group, while the enemy is advancing kilometers in the imaginations of its officers, the only territory it actually controls is its own news feed.
"So while the enemy is advancing kilometers in the imagination of enemy officers, the only territory they truly and reliably control is their own news feed. We wish them continued success in holding this line," the statement reads.
