Russia has intensified its attacks on Dnipro following the release of €90 billion, — Zelenskyy

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes that the increase in the intensity of Russian shelling of Dnipro is linked to the intensification of international support for Ukraine, particularly financial support.

He made this statement during a joint press conference with Moldovan President Maia Sandu in Kyiv, while answering questions from journalists.

According to the head of state, one of the key factors was Russia’s reaction to the release of significant financial resources for Ukraine.

“We have now released the funds. This is a reaction. In my view, this is the number one reaction to the fact that they understand Ukraine is not alone and that there are funds for domestic production,” Zelenskyy said.

This refers, in particular, to the previously agreed-upon European Union reparations loan in the amount of 90 billion euros.

The president emphasized that such actions by the Russian Federation indicate attempts to pressure Ukraine in response to the strengthening of its economic and defense capabilities with the support of international partners.

As a reminder, a 24-year-old man who was wounded during an evening Russian attack on Dnipro died in the hospital.

On the night of April 26, 2026, Russian troops again attacked the Zhytomyr region with strike drones.

Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops shelled 18 settlements in the Kharkiv region, resulting in civilian casualties.

On the night of April 26, Russian forces carried out a massive attack with strike drones on the Odesa region. Once again, the enemy’s primary target was the region’s port and logistics infrastructure.

An attack by enemy drones was recorded in Chernihiv, resulting in fires and damage to residential buildings in the city.

Ukrainian rescue workers have completed emergency restoration work at the site of a four-story building partially destroyed by a Russian strike. Six people are known to have died, and another 23 were injured.
