Russia is training paratroopers to move across gas pipelines in Zaporizhzhia — Voloshin

Russia's 299th Airborne Regiment is conducting training exercises at a military training ground in the temporarily occupied part of Zaporizhzhia Oblast, practicing movements through gas pipelines.

This was reported by Vladislav Voloshin, spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces.

According to him, a mock-up of a gas pipeline section with various elements has been set up at the training ground, where soldiers are practicing their movement skills.

Voloshin noted that the unit is being prepared for possible assault operations in the Orikhiv direction, where there are several gas pipelines in the area.

In addition to infantry movement, Russian troops are also practicing the use of electric vehicles, specifically scooters, to move through the pipes.

The Defense Forces do not rule out that the occupiers may attempt to employ similar tactics as they did previously in Kupiansk and Avdiivka, where they used gas pipeline infrastructure to infiltrate.

On the night of March 21, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck facilities at the Saratov Oil Refinery in the Saratov region of the Russian Federation.

Earlier, about ten powerful explosions were heard over the Russian cities of Saratov and Engels.

As a reminder, powerful explosions were heard at the Belbek airfield in Crimea.

Drones also attacked the Ilsk Oil Refinery and Sevastopol.
