Russia launched 70 missiles and more than 600 drones, most of which were shot down
Russia launched a massive combined attack on Ukrainian territory overnight, using missiles and drones. A total of 70 missiles and 611 kamikaze drones were launched. The main strike targeted Kyiv, while Dnipro and Kharkiv also came under fire. Air defense systems engaged targets in various regions of the country.
The occupiers used:
- 6 3M22 “Zircon” anti-ship missiles;
- 34 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles;
- 30 Kh-101/Iskander-K cruise missiles;
- 611 attack and decoy drones of various types, including Shahed, “Gerbera,” “Italmas,” “Banderol,” and “Parody.”
The missiles were launched from the Bryansk, Kursk, and Vologda regions of the Russian Federation, as well as from the temporarily occupied Crimea. The drones were launched from several Russian regions and the occupied peninsula.
Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces were involved in repelling the attack.

According to preliminary data as of 08:00, Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed or neutralized 632 aerial targets:
- 5 Zircon missiles;
- 15 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles;
- 30 Kh-101/Iskander-K cruise missiles;
- 582 enemy drones of various types.
According to preliminary information, the following hits were recorded:
- 20 ballistic missiles;
- 27 attack UAVs.
The strikes occurred at 42 locations. Debris from downed drones was also recorded at 12 additional locations.

The Air Force emphasized that the attack is ongoing. Enemy strike drones remain in Ukrainian airspace, so citizens are urged not to ignore air raid sirens.
As a reminder, severe weather has left thousands of people without power in the Kyiv region.
