Two Epicenter stores caught fire in Odesa following an attack by the Russian Federation
On August 24, Russian troops launched a massive attack on Odesa; as a result of the strikes, two “Epicenter” hypermarkets caught fire. Warehouses, energy infrastructure, and private homes were also damaged.
Oleg Kipper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, reported on the consequences of the attack. According to him, as of 10:47 a.m., five people were known to have been injured, three of whom were hospitalized with moderate injuries.
Eyewitnesses also reported a fire on the premises of the retail facility and another fire in the area of the “Seventh Kilometer” market. Rescue workers from the State Emergency Service were dispatched to the sites of the strikes.
At 10:50 a.m., the “Epicenter” chain confirmed strikes on two of its hypermarkets in Odesa. The aftermath of the attack is currently being addressed.

As a reminder, Ukrainian Armed Forces drones reached the Arkhangelsk region—located approximately 1,900 km from the border with Ukraine—for the first time. Their target may have been the Plesetsk Cosmodrome, Russia’s only operational military space launch site.
