Russia has installed anti-drone nets over submarines 7,400 km from Ukraine
The Russian military has deployed additional security measures at the strategic submarine base "Rybachy," located in Kamchatka.
This is reported by Naval News.
Despite being a significant distance from the front lines, the nuclear submarines have been equipped with special anti-drone nets to prevent potential attacks.
Satellite images have captured the presence of protective structures around strategic missile carriers, which form the backbone of nuclear deterrence in the Pacific Ocean.
Experts at Naval News note that such measures indicate the Kremlin’s serious concerns regarding the expansion of the range of Ukrainian weapons.

The Rybachy base is located 7,400 kilometers from Ukraine’s borders, yet even this distance is no longer considered safe.
Currently, two nuclear submarines of the Borei and Borei-A classes have been fitted with a special coating designed to minimize the risks of drone strikes.
Each of these submarines carries 16 RSM-56 “Bulava” intercontinental ballistic missiles.
The reinforcement of these facilities’ defenses underscores the vulnerability of the Russian fleet even deep in the rear and at a considerable distance from the combat zone.
Journalists note that this practice of protecting naval vessels is becoming widespread among the aggressor’s armed forces.
Previously, similar “cages” and nets were observed on Black Sea Fleet vessels, specifically on the research vessel “Seliger” and “Grachonok”-class boats.
“The nets provide some protection against small FPV drones,” Naval News analysts explain the principle behind these structures.
At the same time, experts point to a significant flaw in this solution, which could prove fatal for Russian sailors in a critical situation.
