Russia launched 324 drones and ballistic missiles at Ukraine; air defense forces destroyed 309 targets

Starting in the evening of April 14, Russian occupiers launched a large-scale attack on Ukraine, deploying 3 Iskander-M ballistic missiles and 324 drones of various types. Air defense forces neutralized most of the targets, but some hits were recorded.

This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.

“As of 07:00, air defense forces have shot down or neutralized 309 enemy UAVs… in the north, south, east, and center of the country. Ballistic missile strikes and 13 strike UAVs were recorded at 9 locations, as well as the fall of downed UAVs (debris) at 10 locations,” the statement said.

According to military sources, the missiles were launched from the territory of the Rostov region of the Russian Federation. The enemy deployed drones from the directions of the Russian cities of Kursk, Orel, Millerovo, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as from the temporarily occupied Crimea—from the Gvardeisky and Cape Chauda districts.

It is noted that about 250 of the drones were “Shahed” strike drones, while the rest were “Gerbera,” “Italmas,” and others.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces deployed aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups to repel the air attack.

As of this morning, the attack was ongoing—enemy drones remained in the airspace.

In the Desnianskyi district of Kyiv, law enforcement officers discovered the warhead of a Russian Iskander-K missile. A controlled destruction of the munition is planned at the site.

On the night of April 15, three people were injured in Dnipro and the surrounding region as a result of Russian drone strikes, and damage to civilian infrastructure was reported.

On the evening of April 14, Russian forces struck the Kharkiv region with guided aerial bombs; four hits were recorded in the territory of the Malodanilivska community. Civilian infrastructure and vehicles were damaged, and there are casualties among local residents. Medical personnel are providing assistance to the injured.

Russian troops also attacked an industrial facility in Zaporizhzhia in the evening. A fire broke out at the site, and explosions were heard in various parts of the city. According to preliminary reports, there were no casualties.

Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov stated that anti-drone nets cannot protect the city from the main threats—suicide drones, guided aerial bombs, and ballistic missiles.
