Russia launched 787 strikes on the Zaporizhzhia region over the past 24 hours, resulting in casualties and destruction
Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces have carried out 787 strikes on 39 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. Two people were injured as a result of the massive attacks.
This was reported by Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, on Telegram.
According to him, two civilians were wounded as a result of shelling in the Zaporizhzhia district.
The Russian army carried out 15 airstrikes on the settlements of Malokaterynivka, Kushuhum, Lisne, Lyubytske, Mariivka, Novoselivka, Omelnyk, Vozdvyzhivka, Verkhnia Tersa, Shyroke, Dolynka, Kopani, Vasynivka, and Chervonyi Yar.
In addition, the occupiers deployed 580 drones of various types, primarily FPV drones, against Zaporizhzhia and a number of communities in the region. Kushuhum, Bilenke, Novoyakovlivka, Stepnogorsk, Primorske, Pavlivka, Hulyaypole, Orikhiv, Shcherbaky, Novodanilivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, and other settlements came under attack.
Russian troops also carried out 192 artillery strikes on the region. Malokaterynivka, Stepnogorsk, Orikhiv, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Verkhnia Tersa, Vozdvyzhivka, Dobropillia, and other communities came under fire.
At least 82 reports of damage to residential buildings, vehicles, and infrastructure have been recorded.
Authorities are urging residents of the region not to ignore air raid sirens and to follow safety guidelines during shelling.
In Odesa, one person was killed and three others were injured as a result of a Russian attack on May 26. According to rescue workers, one of the city’s infrastructure facilities was damaged. Emergency services are on the scene, working to address the aftermath of the strike.
As a reminder, on the evening of May 25, Russian occupation forces attacked a residential neighborhood in the Zarichny district of Sumy with drones; a hit on an apartment building was recorded.
Throughout the day, Russian troops carried out more than 30 attacks on Dnipro and four districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region. As a result of the shelling, 24 people were injured. The consequences of the attacks are being assessed, and relevant services are working at the sites.
