Since the start of the day, 210 combat engagements have been recorded along the front line. The heaviest fighting is taking place in the Pokrovsk and Huliaipole sectors. In the Pokrovsk sector, Russian forces carried out 35 attacks.
This is stated in the report by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the situation at the front as of 10:00 p.m. on May 25.
Enemy shelling
Defense forces continue to halt the enemy, destroy enemy personnel, and deplete the occupiers’ combat potential by inflicting systematic fire damage.
The enemy launched two missile strikes using two missiles, carried out 55 airstrikes, and dropped 177 guided aerial bombs. Additionally, they deployed 5,529 kamikaze drones and carried out 1,904 shelling attacks on populated areas and the positions of our troops.
What is the situation on the various sectors of the front?
Three clashes took place today on the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk sectors. The enemy carried out 66 shelling attacks on populated areas and our troops’ positions, two of which involved the use of multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern Slobozhansky sector, the enemy launched eight assaults on our units’ positions near the settlements of Lyman, Hraniv, Starytsia, Hrafske, Radkivka, Okhrimivka, and Kolodyazne. One skirmish is ongoing.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attacked the positions of the Defense Forces four times today in the areas of the settlements of Kivsharivka, Novoosynove, Podoly, and Borivska Andriivka. One engagement is ongoing.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled ten attempts by the invaders to advance in the areas of the settlements of Novoselivka, Drobysheve, Stavy, Yampil, Novovodyane, and Ozerne. One engagement is ongoing.
In the Sloviansk direction, the Defense Forces successfully repelled four attempts by the invaders to advance in the areas of the settlements of Kryva Luka, Zakytne, and Rai-Oleksandrivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, our defenders repelled one enemy attack near Minkivka.
Defense forces successfully repelled nine enemy assaults in the Kostiantynivka sector near Kostiantynivka, Ivanopil, Pleshchiivka, and Illinivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy carried out 35 attacks. The occupiers attempted to advance in the areas of the settlements of Vilne, Kutuzivka, Rodynske, Shevchenko, Novooleksandrivka, Bilytske, Sofiivka, Kucheriiv Yar, Zatyishok, Hryshyne, Serhiivka, Udachne, and Novopavlivka. One firefight is still ongoing.
According to preliminary estimates, 37 occupiers were killed and 26 wounded in this sector today; five enemy vehicles and four pieces of specialized equipment were destroyed, and four vehicles, four artillery pieces, and four drone control stations were damaged. A total of 227 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types were destroyed or neutralized.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, our defenders repelled two enemy attacks near the village of Verbove.
Situation in the south
In the Huliaipole sector, the occupiers launched 21 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Dobropillia, Novozaporizhzhia, Zlagoda, Rybne, Pryluky, Zaliznychne, Olenokostiantynivka, Charivne, Rivnopillia, Staroukrainka, Tsvitkove, Verkhnia Tersa, and Vozdvyzhivka. Three firefights are currently ongoing.
In the Orikhiv sector, the enemy attempted twice to advance in the areas of the settlements of Bilohirya and Shcherbaky. One firefight is currently ongoing.
In the Dnipro direction, our defenders successfully repelled two assaults in the direction of the Antonivsky Bridge.
In other sectors, there have been no significant changes in the situation.
