Russia attacked the Donetsk region; one person was killed
Over the past 24 hours in Donetsk Oblast, Russian strikes have claimed the life of one civilian and wounded six others, while the attacks continue to devastate the region’s cities and communities. Authorities report that the death toll since the start of the full-scale invasion is now in the thousands. This was reported on Telegram by Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration.
Donetsk Oblast once again spent a day under constant threat of shelling, as Russian strikes hit populated areas, leaving behind not only destroyed homes but also new human casualties, which are added daily to the already grim war statistics.
According to Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, “on May 29, the Russians killed one resident of Donetsk Oblast in Druzhkivka, and six more people in the region were wounded over the past 24 hours,” which once again confirms that even brief episodes of shelling have tragic consequences for the civilian population.

According to official data, 4,089 people have been killed in Donetsk Oblast since the start of the full-scale invasion, and another 9,528 have been wounded—and these figures do not include data from Mariupol and Volnovakha, which only underscores the scale of the tragedy in the region.
Despite constant shelling and the threat to their lives, people continue to live in the region’s communities, facing the consequences of war every day—destroyed homes, damaged infrastructure, and the constant fear for their families’ safety, which has effectively become the new reality of frontline Donetsk Oblast.
In the Sumy region over the past 24 hours, Russian troops carried out more than 50 shelling attacks on 19 settlements, resulting in the death of one civilian and injuries to two others.
In the Kherson region over the past day, 21 people were wounded as a result of Russian shelling, and the region came under massive attacks by drones, artillery, and aircraft.
Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops carried out 911 strikes on 40 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. The occupiers used aircraft, artillery, and hundreds of drones, damaging residential buildings, vehicles, and infrastructure.
