Russia attacks Naftogaz facilities in Poltava and Sumy regions

Production facilities belonging to Naftogaz of Ukraine came under enemy strikes in Poltava region, while attacks on facilities in Sumy region are ongoing, the company’s CEO Serhii Koretskyi reported on Facebook.

He noted that there were no casualties, but equipment was damaged and destroyed.

Emergency Service units and other response teams are working at the strike sites. Once the security situation stabilises, Naftogaz specialists will begin eliminating the consequences of the attacks.

Koretskyi stressed that this was already the 20th attack on the company’s infrastructure since the beginning of the year.

Recall that on 7 February, two civilians were killed as a result of Russian shelling in the Myropillia community of Sumy region.

On the night of 7 February, Russian forces carried out a large-scale attack on Ukraine, launching more than 400 drones and around 40 missiles. The primary targets of the attack were energy facilities, including main substations and thermal power plants.
