A Ukrainian drone rammed and destroyed a Russian Lancet

Servicemen of the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade successfully intercepted a Russian “Lancet” strike drone. To destroy the target, the Ukrainian Sting interceptor drone employed an unusual tactic—it carried out an aerial ramming maneuver without using a warhead.

Published footage captured the moment of impact, after which the Russian drone was destroyed. This method of interception allows for the neutralization of enemy drones even without the use of explosives.

In the sky, a Ukrainian Sting interceptor drone was closing in on a Russian “Lancet” loitering munition. The first two attempts were unsuccessful, but the operator did not lose sight of the target and continued the pursuit.

The third attempt proved decisive.

Typically, the Sting engages an aerial target by detonating its warhead near it. However, this time the interceptor’s warhead had already been jettisoned, so the operator was effectively left without his standard means of engagement.

Despite this, he saw the attack through to the end and destroyed the Russian “Lancet” by ramming it.

The corresponding video was publishedon the page of the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after General-Horunzhy Mark Bezruchko.
