Russia may return to the negotiating table in early October, says Arakhamia

Russia may return to the negotiation process aimed at ending the war as early as the beginning of October.

According to Arakhamia, the Russian side may resume negotiations after the elections to the Russian State Duma, which are scheduled to take place in late September.

He noted that in order to make progress, it is necessary to establish a permanent negotiation mechanism that will allow the parties to maintain regular contact.

“The only way to build such a ‘channel’ is to establish a systematic, regular negotiation process in one place, involving the same people who meet regularly. I understand that at the initial stage, this may be disappointing to people who suffer from attacks on a daily basis. But, one way or another, this is the basis and foundation for achieving results,” Arakhamia said.

At the same time, the head of the “Servant of the People” faction stated that, at this point, the negotiation process lacks sufficient “substantive content.”

According to him, regular work by the same representatives within a single negotiating framework could lay the groundwork for further progress toward agreements on ending the war.

This was stated by Davyd Arakhamia, head of the “Servant of the People” parliamentary faction.

On September 12, Davyd Arakhamia, head of the “Servant of the People” faction and a member of the Ukrainian negotiating team, explained why Ukraine is participating in peace talks with Russia. He made these remarks during the YES Annual Meeting 2026 conference.

Earlier, Budanov announced a new round of peace talks in October.

Prior to that, Budanov had made a statement about a ceasefire until winter.

As a reminder, part of the Rivne region was left without electricity due to Russian shelling.

The Russians also struck a passenger train at the Lutsk train station.

Overnight, the Russians fired Kalibr missiles at a high-rise building in Odesa.
