Ukrzaliznytsia has warned of significant train delays due to attacks by the Russian Federation
On September 13, Russian troops continue to carry out systematic attacks on Ukraine’s railway infrastructure. Due to the strikes, evacuations, and forced detours, a significant number of trains are being delayed by several hours.
“A systematic attack on the railway is ongoing throughout the country; our monitoring center and all personnel are on high alert,” the company stated.
Ukrzaliznytsia also reminded the public that up-to-date information on train delays can be tracked in real time.
Following a Russian strike on a passenger train locomotive near Yagodyn, close to the border with Poland, Ukrzaliznytsia resumed train service toward Warsaw and in the opposite direction.
At the same time, trains are still experiencing significant delays.
Trains bound for the Dnipro region continue to run on a detour route. As a result, delays persist for trains to Zaporizhzhia, Kryvyi Rih, and Dnipro.
Separately, Ukrzaliznytsia noted that the Sumy region remains one of the regions with the highest number of air threats. Therefore, trains traveling from Konotop are proceeding with the utmost caution.
As of September 13, significant delays have been reported, in particular, for the following trains:

Thus, some trains on September 13 are delayed by more than 9–18 hours, and railway workers continue to adjust routes and ensure train operations amid Russian attacks.
“Ukrzaliznytsia” emphasized that monitoring of air threats is ongoing, and the safety of passengers and railway employees remains the top priority.

On September 12, Russian troops struck a train at the Lutsk railway station. A massive fire broke out at the scene following the strike.
Russian forces struck the locomotive of a passenger train in Volyn, approximately two kilometers from the Ukrainian-Polish border. According to preliminary information, no one was injured as a result of the attack.
