Russia has struck Zaporizhzhia: there are casualties, and residential buildings have been damaged
Civilians were injured in Zaporizhzhia as a result of a nighttime attack on May 29. According to preliminary reports, two women were wounded. The strike damaged high-rise residential buildings; emergency and utility services are on the scene, clearing up the damage and assisting residents.
This was reported by Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.
According to authorities, four apartment buildings were damaged by the Russian strike—windows were shattered and balconies were destroyed. Non-residential buildings and premises were also damaged. One entrance to a residential building was temporarily left without gas supply.
In particular, two women were injured as a result of the enemy attack on Zaporizhzhia. “An 80-year-old and a 47-year-old woman sustained shrapnel wounds to their faces, legs, and chests. They are already receiving medical care,” Fedorov emphasized.
The head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration noted that efforts are currently underway to address the aftermath of the nighttime enemy attack in the Oleksandrivskyi district of the regional center. Specialists are surveying the area and documenting the damage.
Emergency and utility services are working at the site of the attack and providing assistance to residents.



In the Zaporizhzhia region, two women were injured as a result of Russian attacks on May 28. According to the Regional State Administration, over the past 24 hours, occupying forces carried out 689 strikes on 40 settlements in the region. The injured women are 58 and 65 years old.
On the night of May 28, Russian occupiers carried out another attack with strike drones on the southern part of the Odesa region. A private residential building and an infrastructure facility were damaged as a result of the enemy shelling.
In Kherson, a woman was injured as a result of another Russian shelling of the Korabelny district. She was hospitalized in serious condition.
Over the past day, 13 civilians were injured due to Russian attacks in the Sumy region. Dozens of settlements in the region came under fire, and Russian drones attacked civilian vehicles, homes, and farms.
